As you can see I've been having a lot of fun creating Distress ink backgrounds. Today's card is very simple, the blending is similar to how you would create a galaxy, just with different colours. The inks I used here are Ground Espresso, Rusty Hinge, Fired Brick, Fossilized Amber and Moved Lawn. First I thought I will be using Barn Door, but it was little bit too bright and I switched it to Fired Brick and I also decided to add Rusty Hinge. I think it's a great colour for the autumn. I started blending in patches a little bit of red here, a little bit of green there and I covered the whole background using all the inks I mentioned. After that my brush had still a lot of brown on it and I also used the brown on the card stock and I muddied the colours with my blending brush. I went over the whole panel and was blending and darkening the colours. And that's it, super simple. To finish up the card I used a big Celebrate sentiment from a stamp set by Avery Elle and I stamped and heat embossed it using a golden embossing powder. I felt the card still needed something and I thought adding few enamel dot's would be a great choice. So I used the Nuvo Drops and put few dots across the panel. ...And I didn't like it! Maybe if I used sequins would be better as they are flatter or bakers twine, but the drops, I don't know something was still missing, it felt incomplete. What I did, I added a golden dash line across the panel and after that I was happy with the results. Using a double-sided tape, I adhered the panel on top of a card base that I made out of a craft card stock.
