I have another quick card for you with another Distress ink combination. I really like this one, not only I did little bit of Distress ink blending, but also I coloured the flower that I stamped and heat embossed. I coloured using the Distress inks, I just squeezed little bit of the colour onto an acrylic bloc and using wet brush I coloured the flower.
The Distress inks I used are: - Picked Raspberry - Wild Honey - Wilted Violet - Pine Needles
First I blended the Picked Raspberry along the edges of the panel and in the middle I blended in the Wild Honey. Then I sprinkled little bit of water and dried it with a paper towel. The card stock I used is the Canson XL watercolour.
Once the piece was fully dry, I stamped the flower using the Versamark ink and heat embossed it with a white embossing powder. The flower is from an older stamp set by Clearly Besotted, called Fresh Flowers. While it looks good just embossed, I thought it still needed something. I decided to colour the flower using the Distress inks. This is idea comes from a video Kristina Werner made and it stuck in my head so much, I now feel just heat embossing is not enough. I used the inks Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Pine Needles.
I adhered the panel on top of a card base that I pre-made out of craft card stock and lastly I used clear Nuvo Crystal Drops and added few drops here.
