I hope you are ready for a few more autumnal Distress ink combination, because I have a quite a few of them. This one has a very orange, yellow background with embossed flowers. I started by heat embossing a big sunflower using a white embossing powered, this is an older stamp set by Clearly Besotted and then I blended bunch of Distress inks over it. The inks I used are: - Barn Door - Curved Pumpkin - Wild Honey - Mustard Seed - Squeezed Lemonade I started blending from the middle, using the Wild Honey as my first ink and then I blended in the Mustard Seed, which is slightly lighter. Next I flipped the panel with the flower and added the Curved Pumpkin and Barn Door inks. Originally I was going to leave the top white, I was inspired by this card here, by Laura Bassen. However I didn't notice that she cut out the flowers and that's why the rest was white. I was really wondering how she did the white part, I never looked closer or read the blog post, I just liked the colour idea. And when I went to make the blend, it looked weird. So I added more of the Mustard Seed and also added Squeezed Lemonade and covered the rest of the background. And I think this blend of colours looks also nice. I adhered the panel on top of a card base that I made out of craft card stock and lastly using a double sided foam tape, I attached a black banner with a heat embossed sentiment in white that says Birthday Wishes. hello. What did you sprinkle onto the card at the end to form the white specks? Thank you.

I just sprinkled water over it. Distress inks reactivate with water, after I sprinkled water over it with a round brush, I placed kitchen paper over it to soak it up and that's how you get that effect.
