Well hello and welcome to my brand new website and blog. I’m super excited to launch my new website today and share this moment with all of you. Let me first introduce myself and my website, and also explain why I decided to start a new website. My name is Katarina I’m form Slovakia, but through all my adult life I lived in various countries in Europe. I will tell you more about it on my About page. I still need a little bit of time to finish it. Few years ago I found a new hobby that became my passion. The hobby was card making. I started with no supplies and now particular skills. This was actually my first proper hobby and I was excited! I started following other fellow card makers, through their blogs and YouTube channels. I was so inspired, I decided to start my own blog, where I can share my cards and my card making adventures. The name of the website was CherryBee and you can visit it here. This was back in 2015 and at the end of 2016 I decided to start my YouTube channel. I even started a second blog on the same website. The reason why I created a new blog and not share my blog posts on the card making blog, was because the topic was completely different to card making. It was a travel blog, with the focus on hiking, road trips and travels in a motorhome. I didn’t write much and I’m not the best writer either, but this blog gave me the option to write about something else then card making. I love sharing my cards, but writing about how I made a card is little bit boring and repetitive. Originally I wanted to write about all kinds of thing that I like and at first I called the blog “My Adventure”, but because I didn’t managed to write much, it stayed a travel blog. I hope this will change in the near future. I liked my CherryBee website, but I wasn’t very keen on the word Cherry. When I came up with the name, this word was more like an afterthought and it never connected with me. Also (even thought I don’t pay too much attention to my travel blog) CherryBee isn’t a name that you would associate with traveling. For card making I would say it can be used, but not for traveling. And I wanted my travel blog to be more connected. First I thought I will change the name of the CherryBee website, but there was another issue. Because I didn’t pay too much attention to it and didn’t take proper care of it, often I took too long breaks, it became disorganized. Once I came up with the new word for my website and did not want to struggle correcting my website organization, this is when I decided to start completely fresh! So here it is! I’m still working on it and many pages are not finished. My next few blog posts will be re-uploads of all cards from this year, which is not a lot. It would have been better if I started the new blog at the beginning of the year, but the decision to start completely new I made only a few weeks ago. I’m little bit sad that this blog doesn’t contain my old cards, but I have a solution for that. As I mentioned I have a YouTube channel and most of my older cards do not have any videos, these cards I will re-make from scratch and share it with you and those that have a video I will just re-post, should I not have a card for that week. I’m hoping to be able to upload one new card or other card making topic, every week. Will see how that goes. As for my travel blog. I will re-upload everything, it’s not too much anyway. And I’m hoping I will write about other things than my travels. I hope you like this new website. There are other changes that I want to share with you, but for that I decided to make a video, so make sure you come back! PIN ME I would appreciate if you shared this blog post on Pinterest!
