I know I just made a card with a wreath in my last blog post already, but I came across a picture of a wreath drawing, which I really liked and with some changes I decided to draw. While this wreath is very easy to draw, you can download and print the actual card, or the digital stamp that you can colour here in my website completely free. However, if you would like to give the drawing a try, this is how I did it: I started in my sketch book and I used a cup to get the rounded shape of the brunches with the berries. Next I learned how to draw a bow, which is quite simple. You can find the instructions here. I drew the bow at the bottom between the brunches and then I drew the holly leaves and the berries, again very easy to do. For the holly I didn't follow any instructions, but you can find plenty through Google or Pinterest. Lastly I added the greeting by writing a simple Merry Christmas sentiment in capital letters. Next I used a piece of a light paper (a paper that you can see through) I cut it to the size of my card and I traced the drawing from my sketch book onto that paper. The only thing I didn't traced were the berries, as they are very simple to draw without pre-drawing them with a pencil. I covered the back with the led of my pencil, I placed it onto my card base, secured it with washi tape and traced the image with the wreath onto the card base. If you want you can use a separate card stock that you will adhere onto the card base later. After that I used a black fine-liner (Faber-Castell 0.3) and traced the pencil lines. I also drew in the berries on each side. Just in case the marker lines were wet, I let it dry for a few minutes and then I erased the pencil lines and coloured the images. I used the Prisma colouring pencils, but you can use what ever colouring medium you want. I wanted to use the gold pencil that is in the set I have, for the bow. I didn't do anything special, just a flat colours application. You can see a quick video of me making this card on my YouTube channel or Instagram and make sure you subscribe/follow.
