Since I was in the mode of making Easter cards, I thought that it would be fun to make a card with bunny ears, painted from the back. This was quick and simple to do and I love the results. If I were sending Easter cards, this would be a card that I would send. To make this card, I first drew the bunny ears using a pencil. I also wrote the greeting, which I place between the ears. The sentiment is simple, I wrote Happy Easter. Next I used my watercolours to paint the image. I started with adding a clean water over the whole ear, I worked on each ear and the head of the bunny separately. After that I used the Yellow Ochre paint over the whole ear and then I was adding Burnt Sienna and Burnt Umber. I added them randomly, what I felt looked good. I also used Payne's Gray, which is completely optional. Also my watercolour set doesn't have a black paint that's why I used the grey. And I just let the colour react with the wet paint and when needed I used my brush to spread the colour around. Once the panel was dry, I went over the greeting that I wrote with a black fine liner. I waited a minute or two to be sure the ink is dry and then I erased the pencil lines. Next I used a stitched rectangular die and run it through my die-cutting machine. This part is optional, if you do not have a die-cutting machine, you could paint a border along the edge of the panel. This is something I do often when I'm watercolouring. I also added a spatter across the panel using the browns and the grey and after the panel was fully dry I adhered it on top of a card base that I made out of a craft card stock, using a liquid glue.
