Today is my last Halloween card, makes sense, since Halloween is in three days. So Happy Halloween everybody! This one is quick and easy to make. I started by painting simple stripes using an orange watercolour paint and a flat brush. If you do not have such a brush, you can also use a round brush. The flat brush helps to get straighter, lines but if you would like the lines to be very straight, using a washi can help. I didn't tape my card stock to the board because I wanted the stripes to go fully from one side to the other of the panel. The thing is, I cut four panels from this card stock, which is not a true A4 size and therefore I end up with panels that are smaller than the card base. There is a watercolour card stock, you can get that is slightly bigger than A4, which is great if you want to have the full size of your card base covered, without any white borders, while taping down the panel. I only saw this card stock in Ireland (I assume they have it in the UK as well), it's usually sized in inches. In mainland Europe they mainly sell the A-sizes (A4, A5, etc.). I'm not sure if this makes any sense to you. While the panel was drying, I worked on the greeting and I picked a true oldie. The stamp set is called Halloween Spirit from Clearly Besotted and I bought it back in 2015. It is no longer available, but I didn't want to buy any new stamps because I don't celebrate Halloween and make these cards just for fun. So I just re-use what I have. I stamped the greeting with the pumpkins onto the same card stock that I used for the watercolouring. I needed to use my stamping tool, as re-stamping was needed. I first used the front of the card stock and I was struggling, but than I realized that I can just flip it as the back side of watercolour card stock is usually smoother. And here I only had to re-stamp three times. The reason I used the watercolour card stock instead of a card stock that is easier to stamp on is because, when I use stamp sets where the majority of the stamp is solid, with a few open areas - on this stamp that would be the eyes and mouth of the pumpkins and the greeting - I like to use a card stock that has the same colour as the background piece. Especially if the greeting would be on a bright white card stock, while the watercolour card stock is off-white. Next I stamped the greeting, I die-cut it, since I actually had a die for it. However the die is quite funny as it covers the whole greeting, so it was a challenge to align it. Then I adhered the panel on top of a card base that I made out of a craft card stock and the greeting I attached on top of the panel, using a foam tape. Lastly I used orange and black enamel dots and I adhered them across the panel. I don't know the brand of the enamel dots as I don't have the packaging anymore, so sorry for that. Also there was a glue incident, but to find out what happen, you will need to watch the video. I hope you will try making this card yourself.
