In the past two years I didn't buy any card making products, like stamps, dies, stencils, etc. yet I've been making new cards on weekly bases and I'm not struggling coming up with ideas. My main issue (except of watching my budget more than I did ever before) is that I really have no fun shopping for card making supplies. Actually it is my number one thing I dislike about card making. I find it to be just a hustle! Most of the time I have to shop abroad, which is expensive. In general I don't like shopping online, mainly because of the post office. I simply do not trust them to do their job and deliver my stuff and I do not have the money to afford my parcel being lost. So... I try to avoid it as much as possible. WATCH VIDEOWatch the video below or on my YouTube Channel. However I love card making and I was looking for ways to make cards, without spending any money, or too much money - I did buy card stock and a few other things. And for the past two years I've been succeeding in that! So I thought this can be a great topic to share some tips on. You can watch the video above where I share all my tips. ALL CARDS THAT I SHOW IN THE VIDEOThese are a few examples of budget friendly cards. You can of course check the full playlist over on YouTube or here on this blog.
One thing I'm not sure I made clear in the video, for colouring use colouring products that you are comfortable with and more importantly use what you have in your stash or what is is your budget. For example watercolours, you can buy professional paints, brushes and card stock, but there are also budget friendly options that perform well. However, if you have any questions, just send me a comment in the comment section below.
